The first thing you should do in the system is customize your default profile. Customizing your default profile is important for several reasons. First, this is the information that visitors will see when they select "Librarian Profiles" link on the homepage. Second, whenever you create a new guide your default profile will appear on this new guide. You will be able to customize the information in your profile on individual guides, but it is also recommended that you have your default profile customized as well.

Keep in mind that your default profile is the only place where you can upload your photo - all other customized profiles on individual Guides will inherit your default profile photo. Say Cheese!

Hint. If you use a web chat plugin like Meebo or Plugoo, you can embed those in your profile by inserting the widget code into the "chat widget" field. If you do this, your profile box may look something like this (for plugoo) or this (for meebo).
